Arcade
A neon gaming magazine theme for Ghost with a hero carousel, score hexagons, rating bars, platform chips and a live release countdown.

// overview
About Arcade
Arcade is a loud, neon gaming magazine for Ghost. Scores, rating bars, platform chips and release countdowns all come from simple internal tags, so you write reviews in the normal editor and the theme builds the rest.
Who it is for
- You review games or gaming hardware and give scores
- You cover upcoming releases and want a countdown
- You want a loud, dark look that feels like a game menu
- You sell memberships for early or extra content
Probably not for you if
- You review everyday tech with pros and cons boxes — see Pixel
- You want a calm, text-first blog — see Stack
- You need a forum or a game database
Pages and layouts
Page templates: Topics, Writers, Membership, Signin, Signup, Account.
Extra post layouts: Brief.
Getting set up
- Carousel: mark up to five posts as Featured.
- Scores: add an internal tag such as #score 8.7 to a review.
- Release radar: add an internal tag such as #release 2026-11-14 to posts about a game.
- Upload the theme zip in Ghost Admin → Settings → Design, then fill in the theme settings.
- Import the sample content if you want to start from the demo and replace it with your own posts.
What you download
- The theme, ready for Ghost 6.0 or later (arcade_1.0.0)
- Documentation in HTML
- Sample content you can import into Ghost
- 12 months of updates and support from the people who built it
Requirements
A Ghost 6 site: Ghost(Pro) on a plan that allows custom themes, or self-hosted Ghost. Memberships and paid tiers use Ghost's own members feature and its Stripe connection; the theme adds the pages and the paywall design. Demo photos are not included in the download.
